An acquisition file starts with the sector's figures
For consultants preparing a market analysis, an acquisition file or a competitor comparison.
Problem
- Fetching annual accounts one by one from the National Bank and retyping them into Excel.
- No sector figures to measure a company's performance against.
- Compiling a list of every player in a sector and region takes days.
- Links between directors, holdings and subsidiaries are scattered across the CBE, the annual accounts and the Official Gazette.
Solution
- Search with 30+ filters on NACE code, province, turnover, staff and ratios, and export the list to Excel.
- Compare every company, ratio by ratio, with its sector peers, with percentiles (Pro).
- Key figures and ratios for several financial years per company, without retyping.
- Explore directors, shareholders and participations in the Network explorer.
- Put companies in a list, share it with your team and export it to Excel.
SECTOR COMPARISON
Put a company next to its sector
Every ratio is compared with the companies that share the same NACE code. You see the sector average and the percentile: P72 on liquidity means better than 72% of sector peers. Available in Pro.
- Sector average
- For each ratio, the company's value sits next to the sector average, calculated on the filed annual accounts.
- Percentiles
- A percentile tells you how many sector peers the company leaves behind. P72 on liquidity means better than 72% of the sector.
- Summary
- You see in how many of the main ratios the company performs above the sector average.
