Can I see whether a company is subject to the alarm bell procedure?
You see the equity (net assets) for each financial year and the negative equity signal on the company page. If net assets are negative or at risk of becoming negative (BV, art. 5:153 of the Companies Code), or have fallen below half of the capital (NV, art. 7:228), the alarm bell procedure applies. The convening of the general meeting itself does not appear in the annual accounts.
Can I find the shareholders of a BV?
You see the shareholders and participations as reported in the annual accounts filed with the National Bank, plus the directors from the CBE and the Official Gazette. The share register itself is not public: for the exact shareholding on the date of the deed, consult the register kept by the company. Jaarrekening.be does not contain UBO register data.
How up to date is the CBE data?
CBE data (name, address, legal form, legal status, activities) is synchronised every day. New annual accounts are retrieved from the National Bank every morning at 6 am. Publications in the Belgian Official Gazette are also added daily.
