Calculate a company's health score
Six figures from the balance sheet and the income statement are enough. You see the score from 1 to 5, the three underlying components and the risk label Jaarrekening.be attaches to that score.
Your figures
Pre-filled with an example. Replace the figures with those of your company or your customer.
On the company page Jaarrekening.be weighs the last three financial years (the most recent counts most). This tool uses a single financial year.

Health score
/ 5
From 3.5 we speak of a strong score, below 2.5 of a weak one.
The three components
This tool gives an indication based on the figures you enter. It does not replace advice from your accountant.
How it works
Solvency = equity divided by the balance sheet total. Above 30% scores 5, above 25% a 4, above 20% a 3, above 15% a 2, below that a 1.
Liquidity = current assets divided by debts due within one year (current ratio). Above 1.2 scores 5, above 1 a 4, above 0.8 a 3, above 0.6 a 2, below that a 1.
Profitability = profit for the year divided by turnover (or gross margin). Above 10% scores 5, above 8% a 4, above 5% a 3, above 3% a 2, below that a 1.
The final score weighs solvency at 40%, liquidity at 30% and profitability at 30%. If a component is missing, the others are reweighted.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good health score?
From 3.5 a company is financially strong: solvent, liquid and profitable. Between 2.5 and 3.5 it is average. Below 2.5 the score points to weakness in at least one of the three components; check which one.
Why does my score differ from the one on the company page?
The company page weighs the last three annual accounts, with most weight on the most recent year. This tool only uses the figures you enter, so a strong or weak year counts in full.
My company has no turnover in its accounts. What now?
Small companies only publish gross margin. Enter that as turnover; that is exactly what Jaarrekening.be does for an abbreviated format.
Does the score take social security debts or summons into account?
No. The score is calculated only on the filed annual accounts. Signals such as rising social debts or a changed legal status are shown separately on the company page.
Rather not calculate?
Look up the company and we show the score, the credit limit and the sector benchmark from its latest annual accounts.
